Job Summary
Own the GenAI platform spanning LLM gateways, agent orchestration, and observability while embedding engineers across marketing, HR, finance, and operations to redesign functions AI-native. Co-create group strategy with leadership, manage investment decisions, and build proficiency through curriculum and enablement paths. Lead Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers in Berlin and Warsaw, enforcing delivery accountability and scaling AI-native practices. Maintain guardrails for cost, compliance, and security while converting pilots into production-ready roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering
- 5+ years leading Engineering Managers
- Experience leading Engineering Managers across more than one discipline
- Track record of holding teams accountable for delivery and technical quality
- Experience designing, building, and shipping agentic systems
- Understanding of context engineering
- Understanding of tool calling
- Understanding of agent orchestration
- Understanding of retrieval
- Understanding of evaluation harnesses
- Experience building internal platforms that engineers adopted
- Experience distinguishing a platform team that ships features from one that removes friction
- Experience leading a transformation programme
- Experience leading a large enablement effort
- Experience leading a function-wide process redesign
- Credibility in a design review
- Experience guiding senior stakeholders through decisions they were initially sceptical about
- Experience owning technology or AI strategy at an organisation or business unit level
- Experience with build vs. buy decisions
- Experience sequencing pilots into production
