Job Summary
Oversee and implement a robust preventative maintenance program for the hotel's HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems while leading, training, and managing the engineering team. Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements, local, state, and national building codes, and troubleshoot repairs to maintain infrastructure operations. Source and approve vendor contracts, manage relationships with local contractors, and develop the annual maintenance budget including capital expenditure forecasting. Monitor energy and utility management programs and respond to guest and internal service requests to maintain high satisfaction levels. This role supports Crescent Hotels & Resorts' engineering standards and requires flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Director of Engineering, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Strong knowledge of Preventative Maintenance programs and building infrastructure management.
- Prior experience managing vendor relationships and sourcing competitive project bids.
- Experience ensuring compliance with internal audit requirements and safety regulations.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree is a plus but not required.
