Director of Engineering

Lead all pre-opening engineering activities, including building commissioning, operational readiness, vendor coordination, and punch list completion to ensure a successful hotel opening. Oversee day-to-day operations of hotel engineering, managing maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and all building systems to ensure maximum reliability and guest satisfaction. Build and develop the Engineering department from the ground up through recruiting, hiring, training, and establishing a culture of accountability, safety, and service excellence. Maintain and enhance preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and building automation systems while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and Hilton brand requirements. Monitor departmental budgets, inventory, and capital expenditures to control costs and support long-term asset preservation. Partner closely with the General Manager and ownership to communicate engineering performance, capital needs, and strategic facility initiatives.
