Job Summary
Director of Engineering and Reliability responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Engineering and Maintenance Departments, aligning with the company’s strategic plan. Uses a technical approach to lead process resolution and continuous improvements to improve production, production cost, and world-class reliability, while balancing cost, usability, manageability, and maintainability. Demonstrates exceptional leadership through situational and servant leadership, and creates a vision for the department. Manages the technical team, ensures facility compliance with codes and regulations, provides technical leadership on maintenance and project completion, oversees capital expenditure, maintenance and energy budgets, and drives continuous improvement with tracking and reporting on projects, safety, work orders, and energy.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Engineering
- Minimum 15 years paper converting /paper manufacturing experience
- Minimum 10 years management experience
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Ability to lead teams in a cooperative and inspirational manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to develop strategic plans for continuous improvement
- Strong decision-making with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a factory environment with noise, heat, cold, and humidity
