Director of Engineering

Director of Engineering who can lead an in-office, Waterloo-based engineering organization across software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, optical, quality, and manufacturing domains. Responsibilities include owning engineering across the full product lifecycle, delivering defined objectives for cost, schedule, performance, quality, and reliability; promoting technical excellence and innovation; articulating strategic visions and inspiring the team; partnering with Product, Manufacturing, Service, Quality, Sales, and leadership to convert strategy into executable roadmaps; providing clear reporting to General Manager and leadership; developing and maintaining departmental budgets; and performing related duties. Requires proven leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering organizations; strong systems thinking; demonstrated ability to implement products using AI; and a university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent (Masters/PhD preferred, MBA beneficial). Salary CAD 225,000.00 - 275,000.00 range; AI technology may be used in screening. Accommodations available on request. Located in Waterloo, Ontario, with in-office requirement.
