Job Summary
Manage the engineering and facilities services supporting the resort's core business, focusing on improving efficiency through cost reduction and productivity gains. Oversee preventive maintenance, repair operations, and the annual maintenance program while coordinating purchasing with finance and managing spare parts inventory. Lead daily briefings, plan training programs, and investigate guest complaints or internal disputes to ensure Mövenpick standards are met across all technical installations. Plan investments and replacement budgets, monitor energy and water consumption reports, and supervise contractors to ensure quality craftsmanship. Fully investigate safety and fire protocols, including regular firefighting training, and allocate staff duties to optimize resource allocation. Bachelor's degree in engineering required with 5–8 years of experience. 5-star beachfront resort in Vietnam.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Engineering or Facilities Management, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership position within an international hotel or resort
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, sewage systems, generators, kitchen and laundry equipment, swimming pools, fire safety systems, and building maintenance
- Proven experience in preventive maintenance planning, energy and water management, project management, budgeting, cost control, and contractor management
- Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle emergencies effectively
- Good knowledge of local safety, fire prevention, environmental, and building regulations
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems, Microsoft Office, technical reporting, and administrative documentation
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Service-minded, results-oriented, well-organized, and able to work effectively with hotel management, department heads, contractors, and local authorities
- Must be thoroughly familiar with all Mövenpick corporate and local Operational Standards and ensure they are followed
