Job Summary
Lead employee relations strategy across multiple operating regions by conducting and overseeing complex investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ethics, policy violations, and wage and hour concerns. Partner with executive leadership, Legal Counsel, and Regional People Business Partners on high-risk matters to provide strategic guidance on compliance, leadership effectiveness, and employment law. Analyze ER trends, turnover, and engagement data to develop proactive risk reduction strategies and identify improvement opportunities. Advise executives and managers on performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and difficult conversations while championing core values and consistent leadership practices. Develop and facilitate training on workplace conduct, investigations, and coaching to strengthen organizational culture and retention. Coordinate responses to EEOC, California Civil Rights Department, and Labor Commissioner inquiries. This role serves as CSG's subject matter expert for employee relations, workplace investigations, and organizational culture within the cleaning and facilities services industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Employment Law, or related field, or equivalent education and professional experience
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years specializing in Employee Relations
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing or influencing HR teams, leaders, or cross-functional initiatives
- Extensive experience conducting complex workplace investigations
- Strong knowledge of California employment law and federal employment regulations
- Experience supporting multi-site operations and high-volume hourly workforces
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Strong leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, communication, and professional judgment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters
- Approximately 40% travel to company locations for investigations, training, operational support, and leadership partnership
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, leaders, clients, legal counsel, and business partners
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and organizational information

Desired Qualifications
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR, or equivalent HR certification
- Workplace Investigation, Mediation, or Conflict Resolution certification
- Experience in staffing, hospitality, facilities services, janitorial, or other service-based industries
