Job Summary

Lead the Emerging Technology engineering team by providing hands-on technical oversight across low-code platforms, microservices, and cloud-native stacks. Conduct architecture reviews, drive code quality standards, and evaluate emerging technologies like AI/ML to ensure production-ready delivery. Serve as the single point of engineering leadership, absorbing external client and executive pressures to translate them into structured, actionable direction for your team. Establish rigorous delivery governance, enforce transparent performance metrics, and build an equitable culture where merit drives promotions and growth. Mentor senior engineers, design onboarding programs, and foster a learning environment that attracts top regional talent.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
  • 15+ years in technology roles
  • at least 5 years in engineering leadership positions managing teams of 20+ engineers
  • Deep, hands-on experience with low-code enterprise platforms, specifically Mendix or architecturally equivalent platforms (OutSystems, Power Platform at enterprise scale)
  • Proven expertise in microservices architecture, API design, event-driven systems, and distributed computing patterns
  • Strong command of modern engineering stacks: cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Working knowledge of software quality engineering: automated testing frameworks, performance benchmarking, and release management processes
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, AI/ML integration, intelligent automation, edge computing, with the discipline to distinguish production-ready capability from market noise
  • Proven experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, establishing the technical standards, cultural norms, and delivery discipline that transform good teams into exceptional ones
  • Experience serving as the senior technical leader for an engineering practice, team, or center of excellence, with full authority over technical direction, team performance, and delivery outcomes
