Job Summary
Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for Emergency Services, overseeing quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, admission coordination, and departmental efficiency. Develop policies and collaborate with physicians to drive continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and service delivery. Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource utilization while ensuring adherence to trauma program standards. Foster employee engagement and succession planning within a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active RN license
- Minimum 5 years of Emergency Services experience
- Minimum 3 years of acute care leadership experience
- Experience leading operations within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and emergency department operations
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, staffing, quality initiatives, and operational performance
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience leading large-volume Emergency Departments
- Experience in a unionized healthcare environment
- Track record of improving patient satisfaction, quality outcomes, and operational metrics
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in complex healthcare organizations
