Job Summary
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Emergency Department, ensuring delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with regulatory standards. Monitor departmental performance metrics, including length of stay and door-to-provider times, to identify trends and implement improvement strategies. Collaborate with medical staff, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to improve care coordination and throughput. Direct emergency preparedness planning and participate in disaster response coordination for mass casualty and crisis situations. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to staff while developing departmental policies and protocols. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including The Joint Commission and CMS, and oversee accreditation processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Seven (7) plus years of direct experience
- 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of previous leadership experience
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer

- CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification
