Director of Email Marketing - American Kidney Fund (AKF)

Director of Email Marketing at the American Kidney Fund leads the email program strategy and lifecycle—from planning and segmentation to execution and performance analysis—reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing and supervising the Email Marketing Manager. You’ll drive AKF’s email roadmap to support fundraising and marketing goals across audiences including patients, advocates, corporate partners, healthcare professionals, and donors. Responsibilities include developing an integrated email strategy, managing hundreds of emails annually for 130K+ constituents, enabling automated journeys and targeted campaigns, ensuring ADA-compliant, mobile-optimized templates, practicing data-driven optimization from performance insights, and partnering with cross-functional teams to align campaigns with organizational priorities. The role requires strong project management, expertise in Engaging Networks, data and platform management (including CAN-SPAM and data privacy compliance), and collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders to maximize program impact. The position offers a primarily remote schedule with occasional in-office days in Rockville, MD, and a salary range of $120K–$125K.
