Job Summary
Plan, direct, and manage all phases of electrical engineering projects from concept through construction administration across hospitality, multifamily, luxury residential, and commercial sectors. Lead design coordination for power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and site evaluations. Oversee project schedules, budgets, and staffing while reviewing contractor submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation for compliance with codes and design intent. Mentor engineering staff, guide technical development, and foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Maintain client relationships, support business development initiatives, and contribute to strategic growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- ABET accreditation
- Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 15 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, hospitality, residential, or mixed-use buildings
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects, teams, and client relationships
- Proven ability to build and maintain a strong client base and contribute to business development efforts
- Prior experience mentoring and leading engineering staff
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficiency in Energy Pro, EasyPower, and other industry-standard electrical engineering software
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes, energy regulations, and industry standards
