Director of Education

Directs the Museum's Education department, developing and delivering on-site and off-site programs for 12,000–16,000 individuals, managing a $300,000 education budget, supervising staff, and collaborating with Marketing and external partners to ensure programs align with museum standards, curriculum objectives, and inclusive community engagement. Key duties include program development and delivery, budget administration, staff leadership, and contributing to museum development efforts, with responsibilities spanning teacher outreach, National History Day involvement, and cross-departmental collaboration. Requires 5+ years in museum education or related field with 2+ years of supervisory experience; undergraduate or graduate degree in museum studies/education/non-profit administration; proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Hours: Full-time, year-round; pay $25–$27/hour.
