Job Summary
Director of Donor Engagement for the SIR Foundation leads senior-level fundraising efforts, focusing on growing the endowment, expanding the 1989 Society, managing major gift prospects, and overseeing donor stewardship and signature fundraising events (including the SIR Foundation Gala). The role supervises the Development and Operations Manager and collaborates with the CEO and Director of Corporate Relations to align fundraising strategies, messaging, and outreach with organizational goals, while tracking metrics and reporting to Foundation leadership and the board.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit fundraising or related field
- significant donor fundraising experience, including major gifts and endowment campaigns
- strong donor stewardship and relationship-management skills
- experience managing staff and collaborating across departments
- proven track record in planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns
- familiarity with donor CRM systems (e.g., DonorPerfect) and data reporting
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work with senior leadership and volunteers
- experience with budget development and management
