Job Summary
Director of Digital Teaching and Learning provides visionary leadership, strategic planning, and implementation of district-wide digital learning initiatives. Leads the integration of instructional technology to enhance student engagement and achievement, designs and oversees professional development for staff on digital teaching practices, collaborates with curriculum leaders to embed digital learning, ensures data privacy and cybersecurity compliance, and oversees online/blended/remote learning opportunities. Manages digital equity initiatives, coordinates with IT on infrastructure, and supervises instructional technology staff while managing budgets and grants. Keeps current on trends and best practices in digital teaching and learning, and aligns efforts with district goals to promote equitable access to digital resources for all students.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Leadership, or related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in instructional technology or curriculum development.
- Valid NC teaching license required.
- School Administrator/Principal licensure preferred.
