Job Summary
Director of Digital Platforms will architect, manage and coordinate all technical deliverables for the Firm’s Client, Candidate and Colleague Portal platform, drive the strategic modernization of the digital ecosystem, and lead continuous improvement of software engineering capabilities across end-user applications, back-office digital services and APIs/microservices. The role includes creating and collaborating on enterprise architecture and technical roadmaps, liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic technical roadmaps, coordinating across Cloud Ops, Cyber Security, Enterprise Data and Digital IT teams, and maintaining delivery and operational support models for proprietary software and third-party tools. People management of globally located technical teams, and delivery orchestration of multiple concurrent projects from across cross-functional teams, are essential components. Experience with Umbraco/CMS, Azure, AI integration, API/Microservices, security-by-design, and strong leadership in a global, matrixed environment are highly valued. The organization supports a flexible hybrid work model combining home and office, with location in Budapest, Hungary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technical management, solution delivery and RunOps
- Extensive experience of Cloud-native software engineering, mobile, web technologies and industries
- 5-10 years experience building applications in a Microsoft Azure environment
- 5-10 years of experience leveraging Umbraco and/or other enterprise content management systems (CMS)
- 3-5 years of experience leveraging AI supporting the software development lifecycle
- Extensive experience of building and managing globally dispersed, multi-disciplined software engineering teams
- Experience identifying, assessing and working with external vendors to build, operate and transfer custom software solutions into enterprise cloud environments
- Excellent people management and staff development experience
- Strong understanding of API and Microservices based architecture
- Strong understanding of Security-by-design concepts and current secure engineering best practices and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate internally as well as externally with remote locations, external partners and clients
- Ability to work independently but also to lead in a matrixed environment
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills
- Proven project and time management skills
- The ability to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information and thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding and service-oriented environment
