Director of Dietary

Create dietary menus, monitor food preparation methods and portion sizes, and ensure nutritional requirements for specific residents are met. Comply with state and federal sanitation standards, oversee compliance by dietary staff, and inspect food, supplies, and equipment to maintain quality. Lead meal preparation when needed, oversee meal service while on duty, and direct preparation of food and beverages. Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service, while managing labor and budget control for the department. Train and oversee dietary staff to ensure quality standards, schedule staff hours, and coordinate personnel assignments. Report issues to the Administrator and assist families or visitors as required.
