Job Summary
Director of Business Development responsible for guiding strategic growth and market expansion across multiple market segments; develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and increase revenue; lead cross-functional teams, contribute to go-to-market plans, and work within a matrix organization to drive stakeholder alignment; travel up to 40% and participate in a comprehensive rewards package; preferred experience in life sciences, healthcare, or clean energy sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in business development in a B2B environment
- Leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret market trends, sales data, and customer insights
- Excellence in strategic planning and execution of complex business initiatives
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships and customer relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Strong project management capabilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems
- Experience in relevant industries (life sciences, healthcare, clean energy) preferred
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Excellent negotiation and deal-structuring skills
- Ability to travel up to 40% as required
