Job Summary
Develop and implement annual and long-range fundraising plans, budgets, and goals aligned with organizational priorities. Lead annual giving campaigns, major gifts, planned giving programs, capital campaigns, and special initiatives while overseeing grant research, proposal development, and submission. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, foundation, and parish donors to secure philanthropic support. Supervise and mentor development staff, including the Grants and Sponsorship Specialist and Advancement Administrative Coordinator. Collaborate with program staff, the Board of Trustees, and community partners to achieve fundraising targets and ensure donor acknowledgment and recognition. Maintain a visible presence throughout the Diocese and community, utilizing digital and traditional communication tools to increase donor engagement. Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership and the Board of Trustees based on CRM data and donor trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Development, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
- Five or more years of progressively responsible fundraising, development, advancement, sales, or marketing experience
- Demonstrated success securing major gifts and managing donor relationship
- Valid Washington State driver's license and minimum required liability insurance
- Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities' liability insurance provider
- Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and relationship management
- Exceptional communication, networking, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to articulate and promote the mission and values of Catholic Charities
- Experience with fundraising databases and CRM systems
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, volunteers, clergy, donors, and community stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in non profit, faith-based, healthcare, education, or social service organizations preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive), preferred
