Job Summary
Director of Development for School in the Square Central Office leads fundraising strategy and donor engagement to support PreK–12 educational programs. Responsibilities include planning and managing fundraising efforts to secure revenue from individuals, corporations, and foundations; managing donor communications, donor research and cultivation, grant writing with interim reports, and volunteer mentor programming; developing and executing public engagement strategies and events; creating donor materials and presentations; and supporting the Board and development subcommittee. The role requires a strategic, organized, collaborative leader with strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in fundraising and development, and familiarity with the local education/non-profit landscape. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with additional emphasis on grant writing and communications; salary range is $125,000–$165,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
