Job Summary
Development Director leads fundraising efforts, cultivates and solicits donors, manages a donor pipeline, engages with boards and leadership, drafts grants, and develops fundraising strategy while coordinating with CEO, Communications Director, and Finance. Responsibilities include donor engagement with stakeholders, grant applications, reporting to funders, events, and building dashboards to monitor progress; requires nonprofit fundraising experience, grant writing, Salesforce familiarity, project management, and collaboration across departments. The role is hybrid ( Portland, OR ) with in-office and remote work.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in nonprofit fundraising, focusing on donor relations and major gift solicitation
- 3+ years with grant writing, proposal writing and corporate sponsorship packages
- Understanding of Salesforce and ability to support build-out of a database system
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
