Job Summary
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and targeted outreach within the data center and mission critical construction markets. Develop relationships with end users, design teams, and industry stakeholders to secure and transition new work. Manage and advance opportunities through the sales and preconstruction process, leading design-build and design-assist pursuits while partnering with estimating and preconstruction teams to develop competitive solutions. Work closely with operations to ensure effective project turnover and continuity from pursuit through execution. Stay current on construction trends and customer requirements to present tailored solutions and differentiate the company. Contribute to long-term revenue growth and expansion within the mission critical sector.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of construction industry experience
- significant experience in business development, project development, preconstruction, and/or execution of large-scale projects
- Strong experience in mission critical, data center, concrete construction, or similarly complex construction markets
- Proven success identifying new opportunities and securing strategic relationships and partnerships
- Experience with strategic planning, project development, preconstruction, and cross-functional team leadership
- Strong understanding of risk management and project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to develop solutions for complex customer and project requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to work effectively with clients, design teams, estimating, preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership
- Willingness to travel as needed for clients, projects, and business development activities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field preferred
