Job Summary

Develop and implement the organization's comprehensive annual fund development strategy, aligning philanthropic revenue goals with strategic priorities and budget constraints. Cultivate and steward individual donors, major-gift prospects, and corporate partners by building personalized engagement plans, coordinating meetings, and ensuring timely acknowledgment. Lead fundraising events and campaigns, including the Taste of the Town and 5K Walk, while driving donor acquisition and retention through targeted outreach. Manage the Marketing & Events Manager and partner with the President & CEO to engage the Board of Directors in fundraising initiatives. Monitor monthly key performance indicators, produce fundraising dashboards, and maintain accurate donor records within the CRM system.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, fundraising platforms, or similar tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, donor relationships, campaigns and sponsorships
  • Comfort working with donors, board members, executives, business leaders, foundations, sponsors, and community partners
  • Ability to track metrics, prepare reports, and use donor data to support fundraising strategy
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Windows
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record under the Agency's commercial liability policy
  • Must pass all applicable health, fingerprint/LiveScan and DMV clearances
  • Must work onsite a minimum of two days per week and as needed based on the needs of the Center
  • Must attend in-person donor meetings, community events, fundraising events, and off-site activities, including the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
  • Directly supervise Marketing & Events Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, public relations, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, sales, relationship management, or related field, preferably in the Santa Clarita Valley
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and make donor, sponsor, or funding asks
  • Relationship-driven, confident, professional, and mission-focused
  • Comfortable asking for financial support and following up with donors, sponsors, and funders
  • Strategic, organized, accountable, and results oriented
  • Strong storytelling ability and understanding of donor motivation
  • Able to use data and fundraising metrics to improve donor engagement and fundraising outcomes
  • Able to work collaboratively with the President & CEO, senior leadership and senior management, board members, Marketing & Events Manager, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners
  • Able to handle confidential donor and organizational information with discretion
  • Passion for the mission of Child & Family Center and the children, youth, adults, and families served

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, public relations, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field preferred
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Bloomerang CRM is a plus
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, sales, relationship management, or related field, preferably in the Santa Clarita Valley
  • Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, fundraising platforms, or similar tools required; Bloomerang experience preferred
