Job Summary
Director of Development to lead Blumenthal Arts' fundraising strategy with primary responsibility for contributed revenue generation. Manages major donor, corporate, and foundation relationships, oversees daily development operations, and collaborates with the Chief Community Impact & Partnership Officer to execute annual fundraising plans, forecast revenue, and maintain CRM-driven moves management. Responsible for portfolio growth, donor cultivation and stewardship, and driving revenue growth while coordinating across the development team. Occasional evening and weekend hours required to support donor events. Location is Charlotte, NC upcoming roles emphasize strategic leadership, relationship management, and cross-functional team leadership in a nonprofit arts organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, or related field
- at least 7 years of experience in fundraising, development or philanthropy
- proven track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts
- experience managing corporate and foundation relationships
- experience working within a CRM system (AudienceView preferred)
- strong organizational and analytical skills, including forecasting
- ability to lead through influence and coordinate cross-functional teams
