Director of Data Intelligence

Job Summary
Director of Data Intelligence responsible for defining the data, analytics, and AI vision, strategy, and roadmap; building and leading a high-performing Data & AI practice; driving growth through new business and client expansion; shaping offerings, go-to-market strategies, and partnerships; and delivering measurable client impact. You will lead development and delivery of innovative data/AI solutions, establish relationships with technology providers, embed data/AI into client proposals, and build a scalable, ethical, and governance-conscious program. Requires executive-level communication, business development experience, and a strong background in data architecture, analytics, ML, and emerging AI technologies. Responsibilities include defining the practice vision, leading cross-functional alignment, acquiring new customers, advising clients, developing reusable frameworks and IP, and cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Education/experience: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred; 8+ years in leadership roles with a consulting/professional services tilt. Location note: remote-friendly with preferred presence in Michigan or Minnesota.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or AI leadership roles, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
- Experience in business development, sales, and revenue growth strategies
- Ability to craft compelling proposals and present Data and AI solutions to executive-level stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Proven track record building high-performing technical teams and scaling capabilities
- Deep expertise in data architecture, advanced analytics, machine learning, and emerging AI technologies
- Ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
