Job Summary
Lead the data engineering strategy and architecture for a global property-data platform. Oversee the design, governance, and delivery of the enterprise data ecosystem across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, applying Data Vault and Data Mesh principles. Drive technical direction for data integration, transformation, and delivery, including Snowflake warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines with Matillion, data quality, lineage, and metadata management. Enable BI and analytics through Power BI, collaborate with Product Management, Data Analytics, Data Systems, and Cloud Engineering to align data capabilities with business goals, and foster a culture of innovation and DevOps within the data engineering team. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, drive real-time/streaming capabilities, and pilot AI/ML-enabled data solutions while staying current with industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years in data engineering/data architecture
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Experience with Snowflake and cloud data platforms
- Data Vault, Data Mesh concepts, data modeling
- Matillion and ETL/ELT tools
- SQL Server and Cosmos DB
- Power BI or similar BI tools
- Data governance, quality, and metadata management
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing data engineering teams
- Extensive experience with Snowflake and cloud-based data solutions
- Strong knowledge of Data Vault, Data Mesh concepts, and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with Matillion, ETL/ELT tooling
- Proficiency in SQL Server and Cosmos DB
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI platforms
- Data governance, quality, and metadata management experience
- Collaboration with product management and analytics teams
- Experience with DevOps practices for data pipelines
- Awareness of real-time/streaming data use cases
- Familiarity with Python, Spark, or related data processing frameworks
- Knowledge of CI/CD for data pipelines
