Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

Job Summary
Lead the planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of curriculum and instructional services across the district. Coordinate district-wide research, student achievement data collection, and analysis for State and Federal testing to measure program effectiveness. Build and maintain a three-year professional development plan for all staff while designing, implementing, and evaluating district-wide in-service programs. Establish a curriculum development committee, adopt textbooks and supplementary materials, and manage pertinent budget and grant expenditures. Collaborate with building administrators, faculty, and parents to support the implementation of district-wide instructional curriculum, including Title 1 and ELL programs. Advise the Senior Educational Official on state and federal regulations, report on educational matters at School Board meetings, and supervise staff where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in curriculum.
- NH certification as a curriculum administrator (#0008) or proof of eligibility.
- A combination of at least five (5) years of successful experience in teaching and/or school administration.
- Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates proficiency with educational technology.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk.
- Occasional standing and walking to retrieve materials or move around the office or schools.
- Fine motor skills for tasks such as typing, using a keyboard, and handling paperwork.
- Ability to reach for items on shelves or in drawers.
- Ability to lift and carry light objects, such as files or boxes, up to 20 pounds.
- Clear speaking and hearing abilities for phone conversations and in-person interactions.
- Sufficient vision for reading documents, computer screens, and other visual materials.
- Experience in driving and navigating rural environments due to necessary travel.
