Job Summary
Directs district-wide curriculum, instruction, and assessment efforts; provides leadership for implementation of instructional programs; oversees district and school assessment, budget management, and professional development; collaborates with district leadership, SBDM teams, and stakeholders to refine and adopt curriculum, materials, and programs; ensures alignment with federal, state, and local regulations and supports college and career readiness initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Kentucky certification as administrator
- Superintendent certification preferred
- Three years successful performance as school and/or district administrator
- Knowledge and expertise in current educational research findings and recent trends in education
- Knowledge and proven expertise in assessment literacy, balanced assessment, and classroom assessment for student learning
- Proven ability to communicate knowledge effectively to others
- Proven ability to develop administrators and certified and classified staff professionally through effective professional development and coaching strategies
- Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with administrators, teachers, staff, parents, families, and community partners
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred in education or related discipline
