Job Summary

Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value ambulatory surgery center partnership opportunities across existing and new markets. Develop strategic outreach plans targeting physician groups, health systems, and key referral sources while conducting market research to identify attractive growth opportunities. Originate, structure, negotiate, and close complex joint venture opportunities from initial engagement through signed agreements, serving as the quarterback for each transaction to coordinate internal and external stakeholders. Establish deep, trust-based relationships with physician owners, practice leaders, hospital executives, and governing boards to uncover partner objectives and align Compass's partnership model with their strategic goals. Operate with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, Clinical, and Executive Leadership to ensure seamless transitions and disciplined execution.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in corporate development, business development, healthcare strategy, mergers and acquisitions, or transaction leadership
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience within a private equity-backed healthcare organization
  • Established network within the ASC industry
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience within the ambulatory surgery center, physician practice, hospital, or broader healthcare services industry
  • Proven success originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex healthcare partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, or other strategic transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with physician owners, health system executives, governing boards, and senior business leaders
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience leading sophisticated, consultative sales and transaction processes involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of ASC operations, physician practice dynamics, healthcare finance, and transaction economics
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Demonstrated resilience, persistence, and the ability to maintain momentum through long, complex business development cycles
  • Highly collaborative leadership style
  • MBA, MHA, or other advanced business degree
  • Ability to influence across functions while operating independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
