Job Summary
Director of Corporate Alliances responsible for serving as the primary relationship lead for a portfolio of corporate/organizational partners, translating faculty research into actionable insights for practitioners, and driving high-impact engagements. The role includes managing engagement plans aligned with Institute research and programming, onboarding and ongoing value realization, convening interactions between partners and faculty (briefings, workshops, collaborative research opportunities), navigating university structures to coordinate across stakeholders, leading regular partner reviews, and shaping the Institute’s partnership strategy. The position requires synthesizing complex ideas for executive audiences, broad collaboration across HBS, and leading a small team (1–3 staff). A Bachelor’s degree is required and an MBA or equivalent experience is preferred; the role emphasizes strategic partnership development, academic engagement, program delivery, and long-term relationship stewardship, with a strong focus on data-informed client engagements, digital transformation, and AI. The work arrangement is hybrid (on-site in Boston, MA, with some remote work) and requires onsite presence a minimum of three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 10+ years of experience in consulting, strategic partnerships, customer success, higher education administration, or related advisory roles.
