Job Summary
Director of Contracts & Legal Affairs to lead US Government/DoD contracts lifecycle, develop and execute contracts strategy, ensure regulatory compliance (FAR/DFARS/ITAR/EAR/TAA), advise executive leadership on legal, contractual, and risk matters, negotiate a wide range of agreements (customer contracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, consulting agreements), support corporate transactions including M&A, and manage cross-functional collaboration across Business Development, Programs, Engineering, Finance, and Operations. JD is required with 10+ years in contracts/government contracting; active security clearance preferred. Travel up to 10%; ability to provide strategic legal guidance, governance, and risk mitigation in a fast-paced defense contracting environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Legal Studies, Political Science, Government Contracting, or related field
- Juris Doctor (JD) required
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in contracts management, government contracts, defense contracting, legal affairs, and/or corporate counsel support
