Job Summary
Lead and develop Contracts Department personnel, processes, policies, and objectives while providing oversight to program staff on contract inception, implementation, and closeout activities. Oversee contract negotiations, preparation, modifications, extensions, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to FAR/DFARS, DCMA, and DCAA requirements. Guide the team on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and execution strategies, including proposal support, pricing analysis, and audit file documentation. Manage departmental priorities through hiring, mentoring, and evaluating team members to support complex U.S. Government, defense, and commercial agreements. Requires TS/SCI clearance and 15 years of defense industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
- Bachelor's degree
- 15 years' experience in a contracts role within the defense industry
- 5 years' experience in a senior contracts leadership or supervisory role
- Extensive progressive experience in project and contracts management
- Proposal cost and budget development
- Proficient knowledge of FAR/DFARS
- Experience with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) audits
- Strong organizational skills to ensure documentation is filed professionally and accurately for internal and external audits
- Comprehensive knowledge of US government service-type cost reimbursable, T&M, and fixed price Acquisition and Assistance management
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex contracts clauses
- The ability to communicate effectively with personnel on all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate across technical disciplines and non-technical audience
