Job Summary
Director of Consumer Insights leads an insights team embedded within Home & Outdoor brands (OXO, Osprey, Hydro Flask) to design and execute primary research with external partners, synthesize findings, and present recommendations to support brand growth. The role partners with brand marketing, analytics, and cross-functional teams to weave consumer insights into brand strategy, creative development, experience activation, and innovation initiatives. Responsibilities include developing research objectives, designing studies (qualitative and quantitative), selecting partners, analyzing results, and delivering actionable insights that inform category strategy, consumer journeys, segmentation, brand health tracking, and path to purchase across omni-channel touchpoints. The candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking, empathy for consumers, and the ability to influence stakeholders to drive growth, with experience across multiple project types and a strong understanding of consumer research within the consumer-packaged-goods and durable-goods space. Preferred qualifications include vendor-side moderation experience and MBA, with the base NY salary range noted as $170,000–$195,000 annually.
