Job Summary
Director of Construction to lead operations and project delivery across Westside Build’s portfolio of high-end residential projects. You mentor project managers, superintendents, and trade partners, establish construction standards, oversee schedules and budgets, drive process improvements, coordinate with design teams for buildability, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors. The role emphasizes leadership of executive-level construction teams, scalable operations, and delivery of high-quality, cost-controlled projects in a fast-moving environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Construction Management, or Engineering preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and extensive design-build leadership experience will be considered
- 15+ years of construction management experience in residential or luxury home construction
- 5+ years in a Director, VP, or executive-level leadership role overseeing construction teams and operations
- 7+ years of experience managing high-end custom residential new builds
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and sequencing
- Experience managing multiple projects and large construction teams simultaneously
- Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to scale operations
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing construction budgets and cost controls
