Job Summary
Director of Construction oversees strategic leadership and financial performance for a construction division, owning P&L and driving profitability across multiple sites. Lead pre-construction input, bidding alignment, contract scope, schedule, and budget to ensure on-time delivery and target margins. Manage and mentor a high-performing team of project managers and field personnel, establish KPIs, enforce safety standards (OSHA compliance), and uphold quality across jobsites. Collaborate with sales and stakeholders to develop profitable new business, optimize labor productivity, and address cost overruns. Responsible for strategic growth, capital investments, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and architects.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction or field operations
- 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role managing large teams and significant budgets
- Proven track record of achieving operational KPIs and exceeding financial goals
- Deep technical knowledge of landscape construction best practices
