Job Summary
Director of Compliance at Johns Hopkins Health System oversees comprehensive compliance programs for governmental payers, audits, and regulatory matters. Responsibilities include auditing, interpreting results, monitoring new rules, providing guidance to personnel, developing and executing the department’s work plan, coordinating independent audits, advising executive leadership, conducting Medicare/Medicaid research, designing education and training on federal payor requirements, managing vendor/payer audits, reporting to senior management, and mentoring staff. Requires established leadership in healthcare compliance, with experience in risk assessment, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration; preferred CPC/CHC/CCS/RHIA/RHIT credentials and a Bachelor’s Degree with advanced degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Clinical or health care related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- A CPC, CHC, CCS, RHIA or RHIT preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of related healthcare setting experience, with leadership experience in mid to upper-level management.
