Job Summary
Director of Communications for NYC Department of Finance responsible for leading the agency's external communications. Key duties include managing and coordinating press activities around strategic initiatives and policy efforts, serving as a chief spokesperson, acting as a liaison to the Mayor’s Office, elected offices, government agencies, community boards, and external organizations, assisting in public-facing efforts, preparing press responses and briefing materials, leading rapid response and crisis communications, and formulating press plans for DOF, MOPI, and ODTP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in communications, public affairs, journalism, or a related field
