Job Summary
Lead strategic and hands-on leadership across all commercial services, including licensed trade, catering, events, and marketing, to deliver outstanding spaces and experiences for the student community. Reimagine and diversify commercial offerings in line with student needs while maintaining operational delivery and supporting the Union's mission to promote member welfare. Manage complex commercial activities within a democratic, student-led organisation, ensuring inclusive, welcoming venues that foster a sense of belonging among 19,000+ students.
Required Qualifications
- experience in licensed trade
- experience in catering
- experience in events
- experience in marketing
- ability to develop commercial services
- involvement in delivery of the operations
- strong understanding of the trends, challenges and opportunities that shape student life and the Union sector
- sound understanding of charity governance
- sound understanding of financial management
- strategic and operational capability required to lead complex commercial services within a democratic, student-led organisation
