Job Summary
Director of Placements, Commercial Lines leads the marketing team to optimize placement strategies, manages carrier relationships, and coordinates new/renewal business strategies. Responsibilities include overseeing submission pipelines and market placement quality, collaborating with producers and support staff, participating in carrier planning meetings, monitoring wholesale utilization, supervising marketing personnel, and ensuring timely, accurate submissions and quotes. Requires leading a fast-paced team, strong relationship-building with carriers and customers, and expertise in commercial lines, underwriting, and brokerage operations. Preferred candidates have a college degree, seven years’ marketing/underwriting experience with a national or regional broker or carrier, Property & Casualty licensing preference, and familiarity with AMS360 and ImageRight; proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is expected.
Required Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Minimum seven years of experience in marketing or underwriting with a national or regional broker or carrier
- Property & Casualty license preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage middle-market property and casualty accounts and market to carriers and customers
- Knowledge of commercial lines coverages and markets
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proven relationship-building with customers and prospects
- Technical skills: AMS360 and ImageRight a major plus
