Job Summary
Director of Commercial Development to lead acquisition and development of new customers in the global parenteral packaging market. Focus on identifying high-potential pharmaceutical and biotech clients, securing new business partnerships, and expanding the company’s footprint across established markets. Responsibilities include leading a commercial development team in North America and Europe, targeting injectable drug developers and CDMOs, building and managing a robust pipeline from outreach to deal closure, onboarding new accounts, conducting market mapping, developing tailored proposals, negotiating terms, and closing contracts in collaboration with legal and supply chain. Close collaboration with marketing, R&D, regulatory, and operations to align customer requirements with product capabilities and supply readiness. Track KPIs related to new business wins and market penetration. Travel internationally (30–50%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years in commercial development, sales, or business development within pharmaceutical packaging, drug delivery, or CDMO environments
- Demonstrated success in building and leading international commercial teams
- Strong knowledge of parenteral packaging technologies and pharma regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English (additional European language(s) is a plus)
- Willingness to travel internationally (30–50%)
