Director of Commercial Construction - Developer/Builder - Base Salary to 200k/year - Park City, UT

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management and/or 20 + years related experience working on commercial projects
• Ability to identify deficient plans and work and provide resolution
• Thorough and attentive to details; organizational skills and can run multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to communicate with and establish strong relationships with trade partners, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization
• Working knowledge of construction law and practices
• Knowledge of construction costs to oversee Purchasing/Estimating team with budget development and management
• Ability to proactively plan for any risks and help to meet or exceed deadlines
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, plans, specifications.

Desired Qualifications

• Current GC license (preferred but not required)
• Experience managing commercial projects from $1 million to $20+ million dollars
• Ability to effectively lead, mentor and build high performing teams
• Extensive knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures, software systems, as well as construction scheduling and cost control
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as other computer and web-based applications. Procore and Buildertrend knowledge encouraged.
