Job Summary

Develop and execute a comprehensive college access strategy aligned with Rocky Mountain Prep's mission, building a strong college-going culture across secondary schools. Design and oversee college preparation programming including fairs, application workshops, essay support, and financial aid guidance. Expand students' access to rigorous college-level opportunities such as AP, IB, and dual enrollment courses. Build partnerships with colleges, universities, and community organizations to expand post-secondary pathways. Partner with school-based counselors and advisors to provide targeted student support across academic planning and the admissions process. Equip students and families with guidance on financial aid and scholarships, particularly for first-generation college students. Establish and monitor key outcomes using data on applications, admissions, and persistence to identify gaps and adjust strategies. Lead and develop team members responsible for college access initiatives while representing the organization in regional and national conversations. Manage the PEAK Plus Counselor by setting semester goals and tracking progress on scheduling and student relationships. Complete required CDE READ Act training or CLD contact hours within the first year of employment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in college access, counseling, or a related area
  • Proven track record of supporting students in college readiness and access, with a focus on equity
  • Deep knowledge of the college admissions process, financial aid systems, and post-secondary pathways
  • Strong commitment to equity and a passion for increasing opportunities for underrepresented students
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with data analysis and using metrics to drive decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a charter school or multi-site educational organization
  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Within the first year of your employment, you're required to complete CDE READ Act training or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) -45 contact hours
  • Pass a background check
  • Demonstrate Eligibility to work in the United States
