Job Summary
Director of Clinical Services to provide overall leadership and management to all clinical service areas within Spire Methley Park Hospital. Responsible for setting and maintaining clinical practice standards within governance and regulatory frameworks, delivering clinical leadership across all clinical service areas, and balancing high-quality patient care with sound financial performance. Lead the hospital’s clinical strategy, support the hospital’s broader business strategy, and deputise for the Hospital Managing Director in their absence. Must have Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner status with active NMC/HCPC registration and Endoscopy and Theatre experience, with a strong track record in infection prevention/control, governance, quality improvement, audits, risk management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities are essential; ongoing professional development and CPD are supported.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC/HCPC registration
- Endoscopy Experience Required
- Previous experience within a Theatre Environment
- High standard of clinical practice
- Competent across a range of clinical skills
- Evidence-based practice
- Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards
- Experience of working in teams with minimum supervision
- Leadership experience (advantage)
- Experience of managing clinical audits (desirable)
