Job Summary
Lead the development and delivery of the hospital Quality strategy, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation. Provide leadership, organisation, and coordination to ensure effective clinical governance, working with wards and departments to facilitate the delivery of the Governance agenda and embed evidence-based practice. Deliver professional advice on quality governance issues to all staff, promoting high standards of care and the development of clinical practice within this 90-bedded Level 2 rehabilitation and secure service for adult males in Blackburn.
Required Qualifications
- Registered with the NMC or HCPC
- Post-registration qualification with evidence of continuous professional development
- Strong clinical leadership and decision-making skills
- Detailed understanding of clinical governance, quality standards and statutory regulations
- Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Experience working within a healthcare or hospital environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading clinical governance, quality improvement and audit programmes
- Previous senior leadership experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Experience supporting CQC inspections and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of incident investigation, safeguarding and risk management processes
- Experience developing service improvement plans and delivering staff coaching and training
- Budget management and stakeholder engagement experience
