Job Summary
Directs and coordinates the organization’s Risk Management Program and data platforms to align with industry standards, ensuring patient safety and quality of care. Partners with operational, site and system executive/medical leadership to identify and implement risk-reduction measures; oversees risk identification, loss prevention, claims management, and health outcomes analysis; leads safety meetings and weekly risk huddles; designs and directs the work of assigned areas; recruits, coaches, and develops teams; manages budgets and resources; ensures ethical and regulatory compliance; and communicates findings to leaders while supporting organizational strategy. Requires CPPS/CPRM or equivalent certification within 1 year; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field; 7 years of healthcare system experience with 3 years of management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis; strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple teams and projects and to work across diverse stakeholders. Preferred: Master’s degree in health care administration and nursing/clinical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) designation or Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) designation or similar license/certification
- Typically requires 7 years of experience in a system healthcare setting with 3 years of management experience with projects, staff, budgets and/or multiple risk management functions
