Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) is a clinical leader who drives high-quality, resident-centered care across long-term care services while aligning daily operations with organizational strategy, values, and regulatory standards. Leads nursing and interdisciplinary teams, fosters engagement, safety, and continuous learning, ensures education and competency development, and supports financial stewardship and system-level initiatives within a not-for-profit long-term care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be a member in good standing
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required; a Master’s degree is beneficial
- Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership capacity within a long-term care setting or similar environment
- Must possess working knowledge of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act and ESA legislation
- Proven ability to coach and train with an understanding of adult learning principles
