Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Information Systems is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, governance, and optimization of clinical technology at The Vascular Care Group. The role encompasses strategic management of EMR systems, ensuring interoperability between platforms, and enhancing clinical workflows, while leading a team in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field required
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in healthcare IT leadership
- Demonstrated experience with Epic Community Connect management
- Strong background in Athenahealth administration
- Proven track record in multi-site EMR strategy
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- In-depth understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare compliance frameworks, and data governance
Desired Qualifications
- Prior leadership within specialty or procedural-based outpatient organizations (vascular, surgical, or cardiology settings)
- Experience coordinating between multiple EMR systems in a growing healthcare network
- Familiarity with data analytics and performance reporting within Epic and Athena environments
- Knowledge of PACS and imaging workflow integration in ambulatory settings, and patient intake software such as Phreesia
