Job Summary
Director of Client Services at The Salvation Army's Toronto Harbour Light Ministries leads the program-management team delivering treatment and housing services. Responsible for clinical excellence, budget adherence, strategic partnerships with funders and stakeholders, accreditation/quality-improvement, and ensuring program outcomes across THLM’s housing and treatment portfolios. Direct reports include live-in and community-based programs; requires strong leadership, clinical supervision, stakeholder engagement, proposal/policy development, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, finance, and external partners. Must hold a Master’s degree (Social Work or Psychotherapy preferred), be a member of a provincially regulated college, and demonstrate extensive experience in substance use/concurrent disorders, program management, and supervision. Travel across the province is required; office-based in Downtown Toronto with 20% travel to other program sites. Compensation range is $85,321.60 to $106,641.60 with a max of $127,982.40; includes benefits and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent and a Member of a Provincially Regulated College (Social Work or Psychotherapy preferred)
- Clinical supervision certification
- Training and/or certification in management
- Training and/or certification in trauma informed services, first stage trauma treatment
- Training and/or certification in provision of culturally safe services for indigenous, racialized and gender diverse clients
- Education and/or certification in evidence-based treatment modalities
- Minimum five years of experience in Substance Use / Concurrent Disorder sector, particularly in live-in treatment and housing programs, preferably in a management role
- Minimum five years supervising a team
- Superior team building and supervision skills
- Excellent self-management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Experience in presentation and proposal writing, policy development and project management
- Understanding of compensation, coaching, negotiation, labour relations, union agreements and other Human Resources functions
- Understanding of the integration of spiritual care into treatment and housing programs
- Driver’s license and ability to travel around the province to various program sites
- Excellent computer skills, particularly use of Word, Excel
