Job Summary
Director of Client Engineering responsible for the frontend health and delivery of Tide’s mobile and web applications. Drives architectural strategy and pragmatic frontend initiatives across a large-scale monorepo, advocates for performant and maintainable frontend systems, and leads collaboration with Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers to balance technical choices with business goals. Focus areas include frontend stack health (Flutter/Dart, Angular), automated deployment and release engineering, AI-enabled frontend enhancements, observability, and delivering high-frequency, reliable deployment cycles. Responsibilities include championing frontend best practices, improving efficiency in modernising mobile release cycles, and aligning technical roadmaps with Tide’s commercial objectives.
