Job Summary
Oversee the strategic and technical direction of the firm's civil engineering practice for Department of Defense projects, leading a team dedicated to serving U.S. military clients. Manage interdisciplinary coordination and ensure all work aligns with DoD-specific design standards, federal procurement methods under FAR regulations, and applicable state and local codes. Guide the growing engineering department in Jacksonville, FL, to shape future processes while leveraging cutting-edge technology for diverse, impactful projects across the U.S. and overseas. This senior leadership role requires a P.E. license and 15+ years of experience in civil/site design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
- Fifteen (15) plus years of experience civil/site design
- Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, InfoDrainage or similar
- Familiarity with federal procurement methods, including DBB, DB, and ECI under FAR regulations
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, permitting procedures, and codes
- Travel to jobsites, as needed
- Evidence of identity
- U.S. work authorization
- Successful completion of a drug screening
- Successful completion of a commercial criminal background check
- Successful completion of a stricter Department of Defense background check
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- Some DoD or military infrastructure projects design experience
